Nicole A. Downs-Todd

Founder, CEO

Nicole incorporated Mons of Ballers INC (MOB) in 2014 after she realized there’s a niche that needs to be filled to help generations of student-athletes who are unable to achieve their goals due to lack of support. Nicole quickly connected with like-minded professionals who are passionate about making a difference, to develop strategic programs that would make a difference in the lives of our youth.



Nicole is a senior manager at PepsiCo where she held numerous roles in Human Resources over the past 16 years. She currently leads PepsiCo’s Global Employee Engagement for the PepsiCo Foundation. 




Mary J. Young

CEO

Mary joined Moms Of Ballers INC when lauched in 2015, where she is currently responsible for overseeing student enrollment, achievements, disciplinarian and parental engagement to include athletic training, evaluations, mentoring programs and community outreach events. Also, Mary manages volunteer engagement, sponsorships, partnership, and memberships to fundraiser and networking events and maintaining social media engagement.

Rachelle Colas

Executive Marketing & Strategy Director

Rachelle joined Moms Of Ballers INC when launched in 2015, where she is currently responsible for developing and maintaining all branding and marketing tools.

Rachelle is a manager at PepsiCo where she held numerous roles in Shopper Marketing and Sales Strategy. She currently leads pricing and package architecture development for Foodservice. 


Darrien Eagle

Executive Sports Director

Darrien joined Moms Of Ballers INC in 2017, where he is currently responsible for the sports and mentoring program for the organization.

Darrien brings more than 26 years of experience of coaching basketball, 20 of those he has coached women of New York City. Darrien ’s technical approach is to assess each student/athletes skill level, devise a program to improve an athlete’s weaknesses as well as solidify their strengths.

Renee Simpson

Executive Assistant & Senior Coordinator

Renee Simpson is the Executive Secretary of Moms of Ballers (MOB), a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of young athletes in urban communities through sports and education.

Prior to joining the MOB team, Renee worked for College Summit Connecticut where she provided administrative support to the Executive Director, Program Manager and School Partnership Manager as well as managed the region’s event logistical needs. She developed and implemented various College Summit Alumni initiatives which included networking and professional development opportunities.

Valerie Morton

Executive Treasurer

Valerie A Morton is the Executive Treasurer of Moms of Ballers (MOB), where she is responsible for overseeing and managing MOB’s finances.

In 2005 Valerie joined PepsiCo and now has 14 years of experience in the financial sector. Currently, she manages approximately $30MM in annual spend maintaining budgets and forecasts for telecommunication expenditures for multiple PepsiCo Division (Frito Lay, PFC Canada, Tropicana)

Davon Roberts

Executive Director, Compliance and Risk

Davon joined Moms Of Ballers INC when launched in 2015, where he is currently responsible for the development, coordination, and monitoring of the compliance and ethics for the organization.

Davon currently works as an attorney for Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP in their insurance coverage, Tort, product and professional liability practice groups.  Prior to this role, Davon spent over a decade in the insurance and risk management field for various organizations.    

Davon’s passion is for the advancement of urban communities with a hope to eradicate poverty and illiteracy. He believes that all people are born with gifts that just need to be unlocked and cultivated so that they can reach their full potential.
